~~~Letting the House Take a Deep Breath!!!~~~

Hello my friends! I have been VERY busy since returning from Fl. on Sat. night taking Christmas down.....finally!!! Joe didn't want me to do it before I left so I came home to all of it. Plus he hurt his backl so I have been carrying all the bins up the stairs and then back down after packing them. Let me tell you going up and down the steps about a bazillion times is GREAT exercise for your butt:):):) So, I wanted to share the morning room as that is where I start. The tree was in here so I am showing you how I put it away and then the morning room dressed down for Winter. Here is a good tip for you. The green, pagoda shaped lantern holds a candle on a timer. It is 14 degrees right now. BRRRR!!!! As many of you know, I hate winter, cold etc. I also just took a short trip to sunny Florida where the weather was PERFECT while we were there. Low 80's and sunny everyday!!! That is my kind of winter. SO, I try to bring the tropics to my kitchen in the winter! While others are using their snowmen and icy picks in their decor, I am imagining the tropics! I found these dishes many years ago and bought a service for 8. ~~~ A Tropical Luncheon~~~

I thought I would set a table to show you our everyday dishes that we use during the cold dreary days of winter. I LONG for tropical skies and surroundings during the winter so surround myself with items that bring that feeling to mind. I got these new rattan chargers on our recent trip to Fl. My sister took me to a World Market near her. We used to have a World Market up here  but they closed???? I love that store!  So I grabbed these cahrgers when I saw them. I decided to use them on this table because I love the dark contrast with the lighter hues of the table setting.
