Lightening the Table with Spring Touches

Even though there is still snow on the ground (we got another 2 inches overnight) I am LONGING for Spring so decided to lighten up the table with some Springtime touches. Birds and nests say Spring to me and also fresh herbs. In this case my herbs are depicted on my plates! So, I combined all those elements for a new table setting.I didn't do a huge stack of dishes. I started with a very plain tan tablecloth, then a rattan placemat that is trimmed in green. This past Friday evening we hosted our dinner group. So, I set an Easter table for us. I will use these dishes again on Easter Sunday when the family is all here! I wish my son could join us but he is in Fl. And our SIL's sister is serving our country in Germany. But they will be here in our hearts. I love this arrangement of faux tulips, I just didn't have time to run to the store for real ones which I would have preferred. We had a realtor here for 3 hours Fri. afternoon so time was crunched:) Here is the place setting. I used a crisp white tablecloth, a straw blue placemat, then my woven chargers. They remind me of an Easter basket!
