Here is the mantle this year. I did a garland this year and some beaded garland. I have decided that next year I am going to make a new wreath for here.
We have 4 Santas that were made by a lady in Texas. This one on the left of the mantle is a Polish santa. She would reserch and see what clothes they would have worn and she sent a paper with each Santa explaing everything. He has a tapestry wrap under his coat and carries a star. He also carries a real doll from Krakaw, you can read it under the stand! This was our first purchase from her, since Joe is Polish.
This is another Polish Santa that we bought for Joe's parents. We requested the white coat to go with their decor at the time. Now that they have passed away we inherited him back. He carries the matching doll to the other one!
I am showing you all of the decorations in this room, these are our stockings. Beautiful velvet material. (Hint: I stuff them with plastic bags to keep there shape til Santa stuffs them:):)
On the hearth I have 2 gold trees, 2 other Santas and in the center the Santa on the tricycle is another Ditz.
He is bringing some trees in his basket.
here is a close up of Santas bag
a simple garland on the curio cabinet
Another Ditz next to this chair.
I dressed up my ivy topiary with a bow and some picks.
and this year I placed my pretty gold deer in the windows with some greens. Today I am wrapping the deck railing in garland and lights. We have 2 swags out there now.
On this sofa table is the Italian Santa, with a doll from Italy too!
close up of him and the doll. She made the faces so sweet!
detail of the seeded deer. I have a THING for deer too!
On the coffee table I have my Fitz and Floyd Santa and 2 F and F deer candle holders sitting on a beaded runner.
and my Hummel music candle holder. LOVE her sweet face!
Love all the animals...
and this is the back of the Santa. All F and F pieces have such beautiful detailing.
This Asain Santa is new this year. One of my neighbors who knew I loved anything Asain, gave it to me!!!! They moved to Fl. and she couldn't take all of her Santas. They REALLY downsized.
He sits on one of the elephants from Vietnam.
This is the back.
On the other sofa table is what I call my "elegant santa", because he is wearing a REAL mink coat and hat!!!!
beautiful.
So that is our living room this year. I have LOTS more to show you of the rest of the house. Thanks so much for your visit. XO, Pinky
