Good Monday morning!! Joe was busy this weekend coking! He made split pea soup, black bean soup and pulled pork!!! I will share the other recipes at a later date, they were ALL good. I didn't get images of the actual cooking though cause I was out. I have SUCH a busy social schedule, you know:):) We enjoyed some GOOD bread, from the grocery store bakery with our soup.
And a nice bottle of wine. Hope you all had a great weekend. They are calling for us to get snow showers tonight, but not any accumulation.
Have a great week everyone. I am linking to these parties:

Here is the recipe!

Polish Split Pea Soup
16 ou. split peas, soaked overnight in 6-8 cups of water
1 chicken boullion cube
1 packet Sazon Goya without Annatto
1/2 lb. smoked kielbasa, cubed (ans split into 2 equal portions)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 medium carrott, diced
1 stalk celery, chopped
1/4 cup dry sherry
S ans P to taste
6 cups water
2 T. Grey Poupon
Sort and rinse the peas. Saute the onions, celery and carotts for 5 to 10 mins. Add the garlic and sherry. In a 6-8 qt. pot, combine all the ingredients except only 1/2 of the kielbasa. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover ans simmer til peas are tender (about 2 hours). In a blender (he uses his immersible blender, he lOVES that thing), puree the soup and return to the pit. (you don't have to move the soup when you use an immersible blender). And the rest of the cubed kielbasa and let simmer for another 30 minutes then serve. We just LOVE this soup. Hope you do too!!!! XO, Pinky
